Princess Peach Toadstool, best known as simply Princess Peach, is the tritagonist of Nintendo's Super Mario franchise and the titular main protagonist of Super Princess Peach and Princess Peach Showtime.
She is generally a monarch who wants to protect the Mushroom Kingdom at all costs. She frequently gets captured by Bowser, but usually gets saved by Mario. She has sometimes helped in saving the Mushroom Kingdom herself at times despite consistently being the damsel in distress of the series and appears in nearly every game in the franchise alongside Mario, Luigi and Bowser.
She is currently voiced by Samantha Kelly.
What Makes Her Pure Good?[]
- She is generally a kind, caring monarch who wants the best for her kingdom and subjects.
- She often shows gratitude to Mario for saving her from Bowser through rewarding him in various ways.
- She helps defeat Wart and save Subcon from him.
- She has Mario and Luigi free parts of the Mushroom World from Bowser and the Koopalings.
- She attempts to get Mario out of trouble when Bowser Jr. frames him for vandalizing Delfino Island.
- Although Bowser kidnaps her 24/7, she shows no real hate towards him and even lets him join in Kart races and other sporting events.
- She sends Mario letters with 1-Up Mushrooms in Super Mario Galaxy despite being kidnapped and held prisoner at the time.
- While she left behind Luigi when getting in his hot air balloon, this was an accident, plus she didn't expect Luigi to join the hot air balloon in the first place.
- She warned Mario of an incoming attack Bowser made.
- She helps save the Sprixie Princesses from Bowser, being the first one to pursue him when he captures the Green Sprixie Princess.
- After rejecting Mario and Bowser when they overwhelm her with proposals, she calms down once she gets to the Odyssey and beckons them to come aboard so they can all go home; she is also shown to have forgiven Mario in the story's aftermath.
- She helps Mario cure sick patients in the Dr. Mario series.
- She saves Mario, Luigi, and several Toads from Bowser in Super Princess Peach.
- She helps stop Smithy from taking over the world and creating a world of weapons, as well as helps restore Star Road, which Exor had previously shattered, so that people's wishes could be granted again.
- She helps stop Valentina from taking over Nimbus Land.
- When King Boo ambushes her and the Mario Bros after Luigi rescued her, Peach attempts to protect both him and Mario, despite being completely powerless against King Boo.
- She helps reconstruct The Last Resort after King Boo destroys it.
- Upon being told Cackletta wanted to steal her voice for world domination, she has Birdo disguise as her so that Cackletta would get the wrong voice for the Beanstar and be unable to take over the world.
- She seals Elder Princess Shroob in the Cobalt Star and breaks it so she can't be freed.
- She assists in the battle against Elder Princess Shroob by giving Mario and Luigi a star to destroy Shroob UFOs and giving them mushrooms to heal.
- When the Toads end up getting the Blorbs, she hosts a meeting with various officials as to how to get rid of it.
- She rewards Bowser for saving the world by giving him a cake even though he tried kidnapping her once more after Dark Bowser's defeat.
- She assists in stopping Bowser when he has the Dream Stone by destroying it. Even though it was for the greater good, Peach was remorseful for having to do so.
- When Icicle Golem froze Mario and two of his party members, Peach comes in and frees Mario and his Rabbid ally (more canonically Rabbid Peach).
- She kicks Icicle Golem into the refrigerator it came out from, which also frees the last party member.
- She helps save existence from the MegaBug, and later on, helped save Rosalina and the galaxy from its fragment, Cursa.
- In Princess Peach Showtime, she volunteered to help Stella save the theater and rescue the Theets. Also, she has done several deeds depending on the stage plays in Sparkle Theater.
- Several of the stages has her using the Sparkle to motivate the Theets to clear certain obstacles to allow her to continue traversing the plays and rescues them from the Sour Bunch.
- She rids the Castle of Thrones of all the thorns the Sour Bunch placed, thus restoring the castle to its state of glory and saved all the kidnapped Theets from the Ghostly Castle in the Swordfighter stages.
- She saves a few Theets from being trapped in barrels, retrieved all the stolen riches the Sour Bunch stole, and stops the Sour Bunch from crashing the train into the town nextdoor, saving all the Theets that were aboard the train.
- She retrieves the stolen scroll and reclaims the palace for all the residing Theets in the Ninjutsu stages.
- In the second Patisserie stage, she returns all the brainwashed Theets back to normal by feeding them her sweets, thus saving them from food poisoning.
- She retrieves the stolen gems and golden Theet statue the Sour Bunch stole in the Dashing Thief stages.
- In the stages, A Snow Flower on Ice and a Parade on Ice, she rescues all the Theets the Sour Bunch Figure Skater kidnapped and undoes all of their brainwashing, allowing the figure skater performances to continue.
- As a detective, she solves the mysteries of the stolen Mural and the Rainy Day, where she catches the real culprits in both cases, finds the stolen mural in the former and stopped the Sour Bunch from bombing Clock Tower in the latter by throwing the bomb into the lake, thus saving all the Theets that were living in the city.
- As Mighty Peach, she protected Theets from alien abductions, led the remaining Theets to safety, even lifting a bus over the fiery ground to allow the Theets to safely cross without getting burnt, and later on rescues all of the Theets the Sour Bunch UFO captured to study on.
- In the mermaid stages, she rescues the band members from being trapped in clam shells and saved all the Theets from eternal misery by singing to the fish. Even though the fish help free the Theets from the clamshells and bring them back to their happiness, Peach is the one doing the actual heroism.
- She rescues all the children of the Theacher whom the Grape Bunch's Kung Fu master has kidnapped in the stage, "A Kung Fu Legend".
- In all ten of the final stages themed around said ensemble, she rescues each respective Sparkla from being trapped behind the doors by Grape.
- During her final confrontation with Madame Grape, she stops Grape from destroying Sparkle Theater; afterwards, she uses her power to restore the theater to normal.
- When she nearly got hit by Fox McCloud’s Arwing, she gives both him and Zelda (in her Sheik form) tea, which stops their fight, as Peach knows that it was only an accident and Fox isn’t evil.
- She saves the world of Smash from being taken over by Tabuu, Galeem and Dharkon.
- While she has a bratty streak in Super Mario Strikers and Mario Strikers Charged when she and her team didn't score a goal (much like Daisy), she no longer acts this way in Mario Strikers: Battle League since she calms down by taking deep breaths.
Trivia[]
- Princess Peach was approved as Pure Good for a long time until she was removed from the wiki due to her failing the admirable standards to Mario and Luigi and was approved as Near Pure Good for a time, but after two years when her self-titled game Princess Peach: Showtime! was released and she became more admirable, her Pure Good status was restored.
