Pyra (ホムラ, Homura) is one of the two deuteragonists (alongside Mythra) of Monolith Soft's 2017 action role-playing game Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and a minor character in its 2018 prequel Torna ~ The Golden Country.
She is a Blade, a personification of a weapon (in her case, the legendary Aegis Sword) that is specifically said to grant tremendous power to her Driver, Rex. She was created by Mythra out of guilt as an alternate personality, as well as her idealized persona. The kind-hearted and gentle Pyra uses a variety of flame-based powers in combat, whereas her self-confident, headstrong "sister", Mythra, uses light-based powers.
She is voiced by Skye Bennett in English, and by Shino Shimoji in Japanese.
What Makes Her Pure Good?[]
- She greatly cares about Mythra, as she genuinely sees her as a valuable part of herself, despite the latter's impulsive tendencies, and even treats her like a best friend and "sister". Also, unlike Mythra, Pyra has no corrupting factors.
- She willingly supports Rex in everything he does for the greater good, and even married him at the time of Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
- While she seems to lack any comedic moments (as opposed to Rex himself), she doesn't darken the mood at all, as her interactions are played positively thanks to her calm, sweet nature.
- She valiantly stood up to Dr. Castrofari, despite him being Pure Evil (as his worst act was turning children into Artificial Blades, becoming living weapons against their will).
- When it was discovered that the only way to stop the World Tree from collapsing was for Pneuma to sacrifice herself, even though she was in control, she, along with Mythra, agreed to do so, plus they made Rex no longer need his core so that he continues to live. In the end, Pneuma managed to sacrifice herself, saving Alrest in the process.
- When comparing to Rex's admirable deeds, Pyra still stands out because she is dedicated to help others and always puts others' needs before her own, making her a paragon of virtue and a beacon of hope.
- Overall, she is an inherently selfless, empathetic and graceful individual who desires peace among Blades and Drivers, and strives to protect and save others, even at great personal cost.

- She is one of the two characters of the Fighters Pass Vol. 2 DLC Super Smash Bros. pack to be Pure Good, the other being Sora.
- She is one of two Xenoblade Chronicles characters to be Pure Good, the other being Fiora.
- She is also Mythra's PG form.
