Quote is the main protagonist of the video game Cave Story. He is a robotic adventurer who sought to defeat the threats of The Doctor.
What makes him Pure Good?[]
- Despite having almost no lines in the game, Quote still displayed a supportive personality and helped his allies such as retrieving Jenka's dogs and helping the research team to escape the island. Alongside that, Quote was not programmed to do good, and he has his own volition, thus not affecting his agency.
- While he did kill enemies in-game, it is due to game mechanics.
- Defeated the first wielder of the Demon Crown.
- While he did fight Curly Brace, it was out of self-defense.
- While he did killed Toroko, it was also out of self defense, thus the young Mimiga was at her incurable state.
- Agreed to avenge King.
- Defeated the Doctor and saved innocents of Mimiga.
- Alongside Curly Brace, he defeated Ballos and freed Misery and Balrog from the curse.
