The Rose of Purity is a supporting character in the Marvel Comics: Defenders and it is the last survivor of its kind of alien plants. It had lived alone in the Wasteland realm for many years until two aliens, Damask and Zaffer, crash-landed into its world. It quickly took care of them and granted them a life-long paradise, and in return, Damask and Zaffer provided the Rose with peace and tranquility to help give it strength and Zaffer gave up his warrior ways and became a peaceful tender of the land and became Damask's mate and lived for 100,000 years. When Amora the Enchantress wanted to take the Rose and blackmailed the Defenders into carrying on her scheme by threatening Valkryie's life, conflict began in the world and Damask and Zaffer had to fight the Defenders until Rose faked its death to show them what would happen if its world lost its "god" and showed them the importance of maintaining peace.

What Makes It Pure Good?[]
- When Damask and Zaffer crash-landed into its world, Rose of Purity took care of them and granted them lifelong paradise for them to live in and made them immortal. Damask and Zaffer were grateful enough to provide peace and tranquility to the Rose which strengthens it and managed to maintain it for 100,000 years.
- It welcomes the Defenders into their world sometime before the Hulk goes into a fight with Zaffer, who then believed that they are here to steal their god, and Namor and the Son of Satan would get involved.
- When the violence of their fighting got worse, Rose of Purity was clearly distressed by this. and since she has control over life and peace in this world, it feigns its death and caused the realm to turn into a barren wasteland. While it seems questionable why it did so, Rose of Purity's reasons for doing this was to effectively put an end to the conflict between Damask, Zaffer and the Defenders to clear things up and showed them that without the Rose, its world would perish because of them and stressed the importance of maintaining the peace.
- Rose of Purity was willing to forgive the Defenders for their actions since it knew that they were not evil, but rather misguided in their well-intentioned actions and was willing to allow them to stay in their paradise forever if they wanted to, even though they have unfinished business to take care of with Amora, who was responsible for the conflict to begin with and to save their ally, Valkryie.
- Despite being all-powerful deity, Rose of Purity had put all of its higher resources to good use to do what it can to preserve tranquility. It was also one of the few Marvel heroes in the comics to lack mitigating factors.
