Ruby Rose is the main protagonist of the anime television series RWBY: Ice Queendom, an alternate timeline spinoff of the American animated webseries RWBY. She is a Huntress-in-training at Beacon Academy and the leader of Team RWBY.

She is voiced by Saori Hayami, who also provided the Japanese dub voice for Ruby in the original series. In the English dub, she is voiced by her original voice actress Lindsay Jones.

What Makes Her Pure Good?

• Wants to help and protect as many people as possible like the heroes in the fairy tales she read as a child.
• Fights and destroys feral Grimm, which posed a massive threat to many people and the world at large.
• Shows great levels of empathy and care for her allies
• Defends the Kingdom of Vale from criminals and terrorists like Roman Torchwick and the White Fang
• When her teammate Weiss Schnee was possessed by a Nightmare Grimm and being slowly killed, Ruby was the first to volunteer to risk her own safety to enter Weiss' dream and fight the Nightmare from within.
  • Was hesitant to let fellow teammates Blake Belladonna and Yang Xiao Long accompany her into the dream for fear of their safety.
  • Freed the representations of Weiss' repressed feelings.
  • Forgave Weiss for her villainous actions under her brainwashed persona Negative Weiss.
• Saved her teammate Blake Belladonna from another Nightmare Grimm and helped her team defeat it
• Due to the series taking place between Volumes 1 and 2, she is heavily implied to go on to accomplish some version of the actions/events that she performed in the main canon continuity.
