Sadness is the deuteragonist of Pixar's Inside Out franchise. She is the embodiment of sadness itself and her role is to make sure that Riley Anderson is able to receive emotional support during distressing times.
She is voiced by Phyllis Smith.
What Makes Her Pure Good?[]

- Sadness's role is to make Riley feel empathy for her surroundings, so that Riley grows up to be a good human being.
