Sam Sparks is the deuteragonist of the Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs franchise, serving as the deuteragonist of the first film and it’s 2013 sequel film and the Cartoon Network show that ran from 2017-2018.
She was voiced by Anna Faris.
What Makes Her Pure Good?[]
- She quickly apologizes to Flint for accidentally kicking him in the face. Upon seeing Flint's inventions such as his spray-on shoes and monkey-thought translator, she marvels at his creations, being one of the few people to ever admire and support his inventions.
- She tries to warn Flint to turn off the FLDSMDFR when it started to become unstable.
- Sam broadcasts the information about the upcoming food storm to the rest of the world to help them prepare for the disaster.
- She goes on a journey with him to deactivate the FLDSMDFR with Flint, Brent and Manny, refusing to allow Flint to shut down the machine alone.
- She refused to allow Flint to be trapped alone, not wanting to lose him.
- She forgave Flint even after he made mistakes and endangered the people of Swallow Falls.
- When she believed that Flint had died, Sam insisted to Flint's father that he was a great man.
- Sam fully supports Flint taking a job at Live Corp.
- She tried to help celebrate Flint's vesting, and upon realizing he didn't win the vest award from Live Corp and had humiliated himself, Sam attempts to comfort him.
- She went with Flint to check on the Foodimals, despite being told by Flint that the chance of dying would be high.
- Despite wanting to turn off the machine, she felt worried about the Foodimals, beginning to realize that they weren't nearly as hostile as Chester had said they were.
- When Flint began acting hostile towards Brent because he was once his bully, Sam reminded him that Brent had changed and they were friends now, encouraging him to not distance himself from the others which Flint now did.
- She attempted to keep Flint grounded and not blindly listen to Chester.
- After Manny told them that Live Corp is an evil organization, she and the others decide to warn Flint and would’ve succeeded if Chester’s sentinels did not freeze her and them.
- Successfully convinced Flint that turning off the machine was wrong due to the Foodimals being harmless, leading to him wanting to stop Chester from killing off all the foodimals once Chester betrayed him.
- When Flint needed to get the remote from Chester in order to save his friends, Sam helped him by giving him a hint to use his 'Party in a Box' to get rid of Chester's clones and find the real one.
- Forgave Flint for being naïve and helped him stop Chester V and save the Foodimals.
- Forgave Barb for her villainous actions towards her and her friends and offered her friendship, which Barb accepted.
