Senketsu is one of the two deuteragonists (alongside Satsuki Kiryūin) of the anime, Kill La Kill. Originally made by Isshin Matoi to help Ryuko fight the Life Fibers, Senketsu gained his own agency after Ryuko wore him.
What Makes Him Pure Good?[]
- Although his introduction involves him forcing Ryuko to wear him, this was done based on his life fiber instincts rather than by his own choice.
- He warns his wearers when they are losing too much blood.
- He helps Ryuko in almost every fight she is in.
- He forms a bond with Ryuko that makes them partners on equal terms.
- When he is worn by Maiko, who attempted to use him to overthrow Satsuki, he locks up when she attempts to use him to hurt Mako, allowing Ryuko to knock her out.
- He attempts to warn Ryuko about her rage causing her blood to boil and making him lose control.
- He does his best to quell his life fiber instincts.
- When Ryuko gets brainwashed by Ragyo, Senketsu allows Satsuki to wear him in an effort to bring Ryuko to her senses.
- When Mako accidentally puts him on, he warns her about her blood being consumed from wearing him.
- He plays a major factor in Ryuko defeating Ragyo and saving the world.
- He sacrifices himself by protecting Ryuko from burning up in the atmosphere.
- Even in death, Senketsu continues to help Ryuko as he summons the rending scissors for her to fight evil copies of Satsuki and the Elite Four.
