Shantae is the titular main protagonist of the game series of the same name from WayForward. she is a half-genie hero who received her magic from her mother (who is a genie), and she protects her friends and Scuttle Town from her arch-nemesis, Risky Boots.
She cares deeply about her friends and uncle and always goes out of her way to save and protect them whenever a threat arises.
Despite her desire to become a full fledged genie, she turned this opportunity down, refusing to leave her friends and family behind.
In spite of Risky Boots being her arch-nemesis, she still decided to risk her own life to save her from the Pirate Master.
She defeated the Pirate Master and stopped him from killing the entirety of the genie population in Sequin Land.
After getting her magic back when it was stolen from her, she uses it to grant Mayor Scuttlebutt's wish to have the town restored before it was destroyed by the Ammo Baron, even after he fired her from her job as the town guardian.
She saved the Genie Realm from the Tinkerbrain.
She defeated Empress Siren and saved Risky Boots when the Siren airship is destroyed.
While she sometimes gets angry at her friends, especially Rottytops, it's only when they do something stupid or refuse to help out, so this is not a prevention, and she always forgives them, even when Rottytops betrayed her and kidnapped her uncle, as she knew Rottytops deeply regretted it and wanted to be best friends with her.
Shantae is willing to forgive her enemies because she sees the good in them. Such as Risky Boots, which is shown when she (as previously mentioned) saved her from the Pirate Master and Empress Siren.
Trivia[]
Yoko Littner, a character from the anime Gurren Lagann, bares a physical similarity to Shantae.
Ironically, Shantae is a pure good heroine, unlike Yoko Littner.
