Sheldon J. Plankton, better known simply as Plankton, is a major character in the SpongeBob SquarePants webcomic The Bikini Bottom Horror.
He was the owner of the Krusty Krab's number one competitor The Chum Bucket and dedicated his life to trying to find the Krabby Patty Secret Formula. However, after finding out that Mr. Krabs was using live meat from a clone of Patrick Star, he seemed to leave his villainous tendencies behind and, after selling out Sandy Cheeks and subsequently feeling remorse for doing so, redeems himself and helps take down the Tortured One.
What Makes Him Pure Good?[]
- While he was initially a villain whose greed led him to trying to find out the Krabby Patty Secret Formula, after finding out that Mr. Krabs was using the meat of a Patrick Clone to make his patties, he expressed genuine disgust and even said he wished he'd never found out what the formula was.
- When Sandy accuses him of causing these events, Plankton tells her that he isn't the cause of the destruction. However, he does admit that he has done some villainous acts prior, showing that he himself can admit to his previous mistakes.
- While he did sell Sandy out to the Patrick Cult, not only did he feel remorse for it, but he would go on to make up for it via apologizing to Sandy for doing it by joining forces with the heroes and helping them take down the Tortured One.
- Despite dying early on in his battle with the Tortured One, he still manages to stand out due to revealing the Tortured One's weakness, leading him to playing a posthumous part in the Tortured One's defeat in the climax.
- It is in his last moments of life that Plankton proclaims his love to Karen, showing that he deeply cares for her.
Trivia[]
- He and his incarnation from THE SECRET FORMULA are the only versions of Plankton to be Pure Good, coincidentally both being from fanon SpongeBob SquarePants webcomics where Plankton redeems himself after finding out what Krabby Patties are really made of.
