Solaire of Astora is a character of the video game Dark Souls. He is a knight in distinctive iron armor who roams all of Lordran in search of his own "sun". He crosses paths with the Chosen Undead many times, helping him against bosses as a yellow phantom.

He is voiced by Daniel Flynn.

What Makes Him Pure Good?

• During their first meeting in front of the bridge leading to the Undead Parish, Solaire selflessly offers the main character his help, giving him a White Sign Soapstone so that he can summon him for help. In addition, thanks to it, the main character gains the ability to summon other characters to help, such as Lautrec, Tarkus or Mildred.
• Helps the Chosen Undead during the fight against the Bell Gargoyles guarding the way to one of the Bells of Awakening on the roof of the Undead Parish as a Gold Phantom.
• Helps the Chosen Undead during the fight against the Gaping Dragon in the Depths, also as a Gold Phantom.
• During a meeting in front of one of the bonfires in Anor Londo, Solaire humorously points out that the Chosen Undead likes to talk to him a lot, which he thinks may imply that he may have feelings for him. This dialogue further emphasizes Solaire's friendly and positive attitude towards the main character.
• Helps the Chosen Undead during the fight against Ornstein and Smough guarding the way to Princess Gwynevere in Anor Londo as a Gold Phantom.
