After being separated from his friends by the Heartless, Sora obtains a weapon called the Keyblade and goes to rescue his friends with the help of Donald Duck, Goofy and King Mickey. Along the way, the trio (consisting of Sora, Donald and Goofy) protects the worlds they visit from the vicious Heartless who attempt to plunge them into eternal darkness.
He is voiced by Haley Joel Osment in English, and by Miyu Irino in Japanese, who also voiced Haku in Spirited Away's Japanese dub. As a child, he is voiced by Luke Manriquez in English, and by Takuto Yoshinaga in Japanese.
He protected and saved many people and other worlds from the darkness.
He is willing to help almost everyone he meets.
Despite his rivalry with his best friend Riku, he never expresses hatred towards his best friend and even talks to Riku like they are not rivals at all.
He showed kindness, compassion, and mercy even towards his enemies.
Rescued Kairi numerous times and helped Riku to overcome the darkness inside of him.
As a Heartless, he retained his kind nature. Though temporarily becoming a Heartless does cause him to revert to Anti-Sora from time to time, making this a heat-up moment.
He saved Ventus's heart by filling it with the light and keeping it safe within him.
He stops at nothing to protect those he cares about.
He used the Power of Waking to reawaken all of his friends during the Keyblade War.
After defeating many of the Organization XIII's members, he parted on good terms with most of them knowing that most of the members were people who lost their hearts and were merely pawns, and was even appalled when he found out they were used in Master Xehanort's grand scheme.
He saved Aqua from the realm of darkness, helped reawaken Ventus by connecting his heart to him, helped Terra regain his body from Xehanort and helped Roxas and Naminé gain replica bodies to achieve humanity.
He helped other Disney characters into gaining confidence and believing in themselves.
He tries to redeem his evil counterpart and "brother": Vanitas into joining the side of good but fails as Vanitas refuses to take Sora's and Ventus' offer and accepts his defeat while Vanitas fades away.
After Kairi was killed by Xehanort, he used the power of waking one last time to save her, even if it means sacrificing himself in the process.
Trivia[]
He is the first Kingdom Hearts character to be Pure Good. Ironically, his evil counterpart, Vanitas is the first Kingdom Hearts character to be Pure Evil, with Sora and Vanitas both being voiced by Haley Joel Osment.
