SpongeBob SquarePants is the main protagonist of the 2013 YTP, Mr. Krabs' Unquenchable Blood Lust.
He is an anthropomorphic sponge who, after helping Mr. Krabs in the poisoning of the con-artist disguised as a health inspector, would proceed to feel massive remorse for doing so, and begin his path of redemption, with it ultimately concluding by sacrificing his own life to stop Mr. Krabs' rampage.
He was voiced by Tom Kenny via spliced audio.
What Makes Him Pure Good?[]
- When he and Mr. Krabs were trying to hide the body of the con-artist who posed as a health inspector, he felt genuine remorse for poisoning him, to the point of breaking down in a fit of tears.
- While he is initially seen smiling when they first poison the health inspector, implying he took sadism in the act, this is subverted by the next scene as he is shown to be completely mortified and guilt ridden over killing and burying the con-artist. It's also likely he only laughed cause he thought the guy was simply gonna get mildly sick.
- He and Squidward called the police on Mr. Krabs after he had gone completely insane with Mr. Krabs getting arrested, which he deserved.
- When he finds out that Squidward was killed by Mr. Krabs, he and Patrick decide to leave Bikini Bottom, due to it not being safe there anymore.
- After Mr. Krabs broke the power of his house, he puts a bomb onto an extra pair of pants offscreen, and sacrifices himself by blowing himself up which kills Mr. Krabs, ending his rampage.
- Despite coming from a YTP, he lacks any of the nasty qualities other YTP characters had and is not in anyway incompetent.
Trivia[]
- At the end of the video, it shows that Patrick was telling Spongebob the entire story, at which point he proceeds to say "f*ck you Patrick", which while rude, does not apply to this version of the character due to him being a different version of Spongebob created by Patrick for his story.
- He is currently the only Pure Good version of SpongeBob SquarePants. He's also the only fanon Pure Good from SpongeBob SquarePants not to be from The Bikini Bottom Horror.
- SpongeBob is one of the few characters to have both a Pure Good and a Pure Evil version (the one from The Bikini Bottom Horror), ironically both coming from fan works rather than the original series.
