Hello! This is Stampy! And welcome to a Minecraft Let's Play video and another video inside of Stampy's Lovely World...
~ Stampy's opening line in his Lovely World.
Byeeeeeeeeeeee!
~ Stampy's closing line.

Joseph Garrett, better known as Stampy Cat, is the titular main protagonist of his own Minecraft series Stampy's Lovely World. He is a Minecraft builder who wanted to expand his Lovely World with his friends and helpers and the only individual who can speak in his world.

What Makes Him Pure Good?[]

  • Stampy always shows to be a caring and supportive friend, doing what he can to make all his Lovely Helpers as healthy and happy as possible and bring joy to people.
  • He did not try to stop Lee Bear from leaving since he knew that he needed to help other people.
  • He made friends with some aliens on the moon, later even forgiving them for helping Hit The Target (in which they did not know who was evil at the time).
  • He does his best to protect his dogs from Hit the Target.
  • He attempted to make peace with Hit the Target during a battle, even though he was meant to fight.
  • When Squid steals some clothing and runs off with it, he chastises Lee for shooting him and then politely tells Squid to never steal again.
  • He allows Polly Reindeer to come join his world.
  • He saved Christmas from Hit the Target more than once.
  • He adopts a dog whom he names Secret, who was cloned numerous times by Hit the Target to make a dog army.
  • While he does tease Hit The Target and Veeva Dash while they were frozen in time, it isn’t a serious enough prevention to consider him “mischievous”, as the two had posed as dangerous threats. Plus, it was played for laughs.
  • In the 800th episode, he decides to spare Hit The Target and Veeva Dash even after everything they do, still genuinely believing they can change for the better. He even gives a peace offering by making a Lovely Garden section sign for them as well.
  • In the series finale, in order to prevent Hit the Target and Veeva Dash from hurting any of his friends or his dogs, Stampy decides to give his world up to them in order to protect them.
    • Furthermore, after giving his world up, Stampy gathers all of his friends to leave the world in order to live in peace without Hit The Target.
    • It's also implied that Stampy's kindness changed Veeva Dash for the better, as she is seen walking to Stampy and his friends in the last seconds of the final episode.
  • While Stampy does kill a lot of mobs in the series, it was justified due to Minecraft's gimmicks making these mobs a mindless hostile species that cannot do anything but attack him and his friends, thus making him a righteous killer.not to mention he has a merciful side towards the mobs if they pose no threat to him or his friends as seen with Fred the Enderman,Jangles,Betsy Boo Boo and Mr. Spider.
  • While originally more cynical in the early videos, being rude and even blaming and blames Hit The Target for Guilty Bark’s death, even not wanting to bother making a grave on the dog at first, he grown from this, showing more nice look to Guilty Bark and shows to be more cheery and no longer rude.

Trivia[]

  • Originally, Stampy was Near Pure Good due to being a little mischievous in the episode "I Can't Win" when he was teasing Hit The Target and Veeva Dash while the villains froze in time. However, it was decided to approve him for Pure Good since the prevention was too weak.
    • The prevention would be more of a Pure Good with Heating-Up Periods moment or a Wholly Reformed moment.
  • His counterpart in Minecraft: Story Mode cannot qualify as Pure Good due to massively failing the admirable standard in comparison to other characters in the series.
  • He somewhat resembles another hero, Miles "Tails" Prower from the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. Likewise, Tails and his movie counterpart are also Pure Good.
