I think in a truly infinite cosmos, you find exactly what you're looking for, eventually.

You looked for cruelty in a cosmos of infinite volume and found it in no short supply.

But you know what, Buck? when the dream starts again, i'm going to run barefoot through the grass. i'm gonna watch scary movies. i'm going to love, be joyous, move, learn, cry, and feel so much that all the bad is worth it.

that's what i did when i was mortal. that's what i'll do now.

~ Stardust talking about how she wants to live her life with Buck and redeeming him

Stardust is the main protagonist of the Visual novel game, Sucker for love:Date to die for.

She investigates the mysterious disappearances in her home town, Sacraman-cho, in the end she ended up trapped and had to resort to a ritual using a book to summon Rohk'zan, the mother of all and black goat of the woods, with whom He will have to have a date in order to free the town from the cult of The Thousend.

What makes her Pure good?[]

  • She is kind and empathetic with people even if they can be horrible.
  • She doesn't like killing and is against that.
  • it is implied she is kind to animals, considering that she wanted to make sure the cat that she saw on the window was safe (she didn't knew it was actually Nyanlathotep).
  • As soon she summoned Rhok'zan, falsely believing that she was evil and wanted to spread suffering to the town, she wanted to banish her so she could not hurt anyone else.
  • After meeting Rhok'zan and knowing her true motives, she stopped disliking her and wanted to free her from the cult's abuse.
  • After knocking out and tying up Nanni, even though she tried to kill her, she only saw a innocent person being influenced by the dark woods.
  • She healed Nanni after she got hurt by the bullets from the cult.
  • made Nanni redeem herself, leaving the thousend cult and becoming friends.
  • After meeting Billie and knowing why she is in the cult, she manage to redeem her and made her leave the thousend.
  • She managed to change the hearts of each one of the member of the cult that tried to kill her
    • although this is something that happened off screen, this had real effects considering that the cult had several members and at that point only Buck and Kidd remained.
  • After seeing one of Kidd's fans die because of a accident, she instantly wanted to cure her, but when she couldn't, she felt very bad about it even if it was not her fault.
  • She manage to free several people from their obsession with Kidd, by:
    • make a Girl talk to her mother again.
    • make an old lady see a photo of her husband which made her feel better.
    • Help a rocker hear her own voice again.
    • Reunite two idols again
    • say happy birthday to Kenji
  • Even though Kidd was the one causing the disappearances of young girls, Stardust still allowed him to leave the house and forgave him for his actions.
  • After discovering Buck's plan to end all existence by trying to awaken the Eternal Sleeper, she successfully stopped him by preventing Nyanlathotep from capturing him.
  • Due to her actions and freeing Rhok'zan, she manage to believe in the good of humans.
  • She made herself immortal just to prevent Buck from causing more harm or attempting to destroy all of existence.
  • Despite all the pain, cruelty and deaths that Buck caused to everyone, Stardust still understood his situation and the pain of immortality, and managed to show him that being immortal was not such a bad thing, which made Buck have a change. to seem and would like to explore the infinite cosmos.

Trivia[]

  • Stardust is the only character of all versions of H.P Lovecraft to be Pure Good.
  • The truth ending of the game is ambiguously considered canonical, which is why it is not counted as something corruptible in her.
