Tobey and Tom pointing at each other

This article pertains to a Pure Good with more than one version who is Pure Good!

Hope is the light that lifts us out of darkness.
~ Superman to Lois Lane.

Clark Kent, also known as Superman, is the titular main protagonist of the 2006 superhero film Superman Returns and a major protagonist in CW's Crisis on Infinite Earths, the latter of which is the sixth Arrowverse crossover event.

He is portrayed by Brandon Routh in Superman Returns and the Arrowverse. He is also portrayed by Christopher Reeve in Superman and Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut, as both movies are retroactively in the same continuity.

What makes him Pure Good?[]

Background[]

  • His heroic deeds are in the same as the ones performed in Superman: The Movie and Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut.

Superman Returns[]

  • He prevented a plane from crushing into a baseball stadium.
  • He stopped a bank robbery at the Newhart Federal Bank.
  • He saved Lois, Richard and Jason from drowning.
  • He risked his life by taking the Kryptonite island to the space, saving the United States from being nuked.

Crisis on Infinite Earths (2019)[]

  • He previously took charge of Jason before the events of Crisis.
  • He still remained hopeful and willing to help despite the deaths of Lois Lane and several of the other Daily Planet members. He adopted black in his chest symbol to represent that hope can cut out the darkness.
  • When Iris West-Allen, Lois and Clark went for his help, he was willing to listen to them and help them save the multiverse.
  • He tried to evacuate as many people as possible from the Earths getting destroyed during the Crisis and tried to defend the Quantum Towers alongside J'onn J'onnz.
  • After the Crisis was undone and the people he lost never died in the new multiverse, he continued working as a hero.

Trivia[]

  • Only Superman and Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut are part of this version while Superman II: The Richard Lester Cut, Superman III, and Superman IV: The Quest for Peace are excluded.
