Kal-El (also known as Clark Joseph Kent), better known as Superman, is the titular main protagonist of the 2023 superhero cartoon series My Adventures with Superman.
He is a Kryptonian refugee who was raised on Earth as a human by the Kent family in Smallville, Kansas. After he discovered his powers and learned of his alien origins, he vowed to protect Earth and its people, becoming a superhero as a result.
He is the boyfriend of Lois Lane and best friend of Jimmy Olsen. He is also the cousin of Kara Zor-El/Supergirl, who was revealed to be the second survivor of Krypton's destruction.
He is voiced by Jack Quaid.
What Makes Him Pure Good?[]
In General/Background[]
- He is shown to be incredibly humble and kind-hearted, possessing no selfish or corrupting factors whatsoever.
- He even stated multiple times that the reason why he protects Earth and its people is simply because he wants to help people, even if he's trying to piece together on who he is and what he was meant to be.
- Although he was secretive with his identity, it was mostly because he didn't want to endanger his loved ones. Eventually, he learns to be more truthful with his friends.
- As a young child, he quickly saved a mother and infant from getting into a fatal car crash.
- It's worth nothing that even before he unlocked his powers, he still quickly ran to help them, showcasing his heroism, even at a young age.
- He quickly rescued his adopted parents from falling inside the ship.
- Out of fear that his powers could hurt more people, he distanced himself from his friends like Lana Lang to protect them.
- While he initially assumed his home people, the Kryptonians were villainous war-mongers, he held neutral feelings towards them because he wanted to discover the truth about them. Once he does, he accepts his alien heritage.
Season 1[]
- While chanting to himself that he will be normal, he quickly rescues a cat from a tree and returns it to its owner.
- He defeated the OMACs after Leslie Willis sent them to attack him and Lois Lane.
- He defeated Livewire and saved her after Slade Wilson damaged her suit causing it to nearly explode and kill her.
- He removed all the bombs that Livewire placed in the sewers.
- He saved a blimp pilot from falling after a blimp crashed and then an area of Metropolis from debris.
- He was upset at Lois for stealing Cat Grant's, Steve Lombard's, and Ronnie Troupe's badges thinking that stealing was wrong.
- He told Lois and Jimmy Olsen to get to safety while he went to stop Intergang from robbing a bank.
- He used his heat vision to destroy Intergang's freeze ray from freezing all of Metropolis.
- After avoiding Lois from giving her an interview, he relents and gives her an interview and tells that he only wants to help.
- After Anthony Ivo insults Lois and tries to bribe Clark by giving him an interview on Cat's bachelor article, he instead asks about his various corrupt activities like Lois wanted him to do. While this did humiliate Ivo, he didn't do it to be mean since Ivo deserved it for being a jerk.
- He comforted Lois after she admitted assumed she was a screw-up, which he refuted by saying she wasn't and that she changed his life for the better. He even tried to reveal his secret identity to her before backing out because also admitted to hate being lied to.
- He saved Curtis after Parasite (Ivo) dropped him out of his Tower and asks Parasite to let his guests go.
- He stopped fighting Parasite therefore depriving him of power and after his suit started consuming Ivo, he pulled the Parasite suit off Ivo and takes him to an ambulance.
- After realizing the strange tech weapons Livewire stole were given to Intergang and Parasite, he vows to find them and the people who made them before more people get hurt.
- Throughout the day, Superman has done various admirable deed, while badly hiding his secret identity from Lois:
- He stopped a train from crashing.
- He offered to lift a heavy package for Lois, not knowing he was lifting a 300 lb. weight.
- He stopped a runaway bus.
- He stopped a mugging.
- He saved a kid from being hit by a bullet train.
- He saved a dangling cat.
- He lifted a car out of a sinkhole with kids in it.
- He defeated Heatwave's crew with Lois' help, while still trying to keep her from getting hurt.
- He took Lois to the top of the Daily Planet, so he could go after Heatwave and she wouldn’t get hurt.
- He attempts to peacefully takedown Heatwave and assures her that he won’t kidnap her, despite the fact that she continues to resist.
- He saved a bridge full of people, after Slade Wilson damaged it and stopped Wilson endangering more people in their fight.
- He saved Lois after she willingly jumped off the Daily Planet building, while also inadvertently revealing his secret identity.
- He and Lois, despite being a bit distant from each other, went to rescue Jimmy after he was seemingly kidnapped by "Bigfoot".
- During their mission, he quickly protected Lois from laser turrets. When Lois questions if he knew he was bulletproof, he admits that he didn't and he jumped in to protect Lois since she wasn't.
- He defeated Parasite once again, preventing him from endangering Metropolis and draining its citizens, while also solemnity criticizing him for choosing to become a monster.
Season 2[]
- He would go back to the Kryptonian ship to learn more about his and his race's origins. There, he discovered the truth behind the Kryptonian Empire and of his cousin Kara's existence.
- He protected Lois and Jimmy from Task Force X after they arrived on the Kryptonian ship.
- When the hologram of Jor-El is erased due to the Kryptonite being destroyed to create the Fortress of Solitude, he expresses his sadness while acknowledging Jor-El as his father.
- He and Lois rescued General Sam Lane, Billy's dad, and many other innocent prisioners from Stryker Penitentiary, all while protecting them from Task Force X.
- He rescued Silas Stone and John Henry Irons from Thomas Weston and his Metallo Army. He and Irons also team up to shut Weston's Metallo Army and stop the unstable fusion core before it destroys the city.
- After Weston was stopped, he praised Irons' heroism and wrote an article about him.
- Despite Kara's actions on Earth, as well as her previous acts, he would simply tried to reason with his cousin, even showing her why she couldn't harm Earth, such as his loving time with his adopted family. This allowed Kara to slowly broke free from Brainiac's control.
- While he did have a mischievous moment of teasing Kara about her relationship with Jimmy, nothing suggests he was doing it to be mean and was simply being playful with his cousin.
- Together with Lois, Jimmy, Kara, and other allies such as Sam, Waller, Steel, Liveware and Heatwave, and the Intergang, he would battle against Brainiac and his forces to protect the world from his invasion.
- When Brainiac mind-controlled Kara once again, instead of fighting her, he simply comforted her by hugging her and stating that she is stronger than Brainiac and she can fight off his influence.
- Alongside Kara, he would defeat Brainiac once and for all, ending his tyrannical conquest and avenging the planet of Krypton.
- He brought Kara back to the Kent Farm, where she would become a part of the Kent Family.
- Alongside Kara and the others, they would rebuild the city of Metropolis.
- He was fully accepting towards Lois potentially accepting Vicki's offer to become a journalist in Gotham, even suggesting moving to the city with her.
- He and Kara would continue on protecting Metropolis from potential threats, with Lois and Jimmy assisting them.
