~ Taki talks about his feelings towards Mitsuha Miyamizu. |
Taki Tachibana is one of the two main protagonists (alongside Mitsuha Miyamizu) of the 2016 anime film, Your Name (Kimi no Na Wa).
In the Japanese version, he is voiced by Ryunosuke Kamiki who also portrayed Koichi Hirose in the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable live-action movie adaptation. In the English Dub, he is voiced by Michael Sinterniklaas.
What Makes Him Pure Good?[]
- At first, he seemed to be very jerkish, reckless and even perverted towards Mitsuha when they first met, mainly due to his curiosity towards being inside a woman's body. However, he completely subverted it by his apologetic exchange with Mitsuha right before Kataware-doki ends.
- He, along with Mitsuha, saved Itomori from being struck by Tiamat, saving the lives of thousands of people.
- Having among the lowest resources out of all the heroes within the shared continuity between Your Name and Weathering with You, he ends up being comparably admirable to many of their most upstanding heroes for his presence in preventing Itomori's destruction, and switching bodies with Mitsuha to confront her father about his negligence towards the impending threat.
Trivia[]
- He is one of three heroes from the works of Makoto Shinkai to be Pure Good, the others being Mitsuha Miyamizu and Hina Amano.
