Ted Wiggins is the main protagonist of the 2012 Illumination Entertainment film The Lorax. He is trying to win the affection of his neighbor Audrey who does not notice his feelings. One day while intentionally crashing his remote-controlled plane into her backyard, she invites him inside to show her mural of trees in her backyard. Ted notices her obsession with trees and asks her what she would do if a man brought her a real one. She then tells him she would marry them on the spot which gives Ted the idea to go and find a real tree.

He was voiced by Zac Efron.

What Makes Him Pure Good?[]

He visits the Once-ler in order to get a tree purely to impress his crush Audrey at first. However, after listening to the Once-ler's Story, he sheds his selfish motive, instead wanting to plant the tree for the benefit of everyone else, allowing them to live without paying for fresh air.
He promises the Once-ler to plant the tree in Thneedville despite knowing the punishment could be severe if he gets caught by O'Hare and how the citizens do not realize the importance of trees yet.
He saves Audrey from being run over by a bulldozer.
Despite O'Hare forming an angry mob against him, he convinces the mob the clear the way in a nice way as he uses a bulldozer, genuinely respects their (even O'Hare's) well-being.
While he did destroy the walls surrounding Thneedville, It was necessary just so everyone can know what happened to the world.
He inspires everyone else to want to make a change in the world after seeing how badly the world has deteriorated outside of Thneedville, allowing the tree to be grown with no threats to it.
Through Ted's actions, the world was made a normal place again, allowing The Lorax and the Once-ler to reconcile with each other after 50+ years and allowing The Lorax's allies to live in their original home again.
