Terra Branford is the main protagonist of Final Fantasy VI. She is a half-esper girl who possesses magical powers which play a key role in the storyline.
She was voiced by Yukari Fukui in the Japanese version, and by Natalie Lander in the English version.
What Makes Her Pure Good?[]
- While initially reluctant to help the Returners at first, she builds up trust with the heroic group and agrees to help them stop the Getashl Empire from exploiting magic for power.
- She strives to achieve peace and harmony between both the humans and the espers.
- She opens the Sealed Gate to temporarily defeat Kefka Palazzo in an attempt to get the espers to help the humans.
- In “Dissidia Opera Omnia” She convinces Yuna to form a alliance with Leo Cristophe in an attempt to form a peace treaty between the esper and the humans.
- After the cataclysm, she agreed to protect the children of Mobiz after Kefka killed their parents using the Ray of Justice.
- She used her trance power to transform and defeat the demon Humbaba who terrorized Mobiz.
- She defeats Kefka so the World can return to its former, peaceful glory. Although she loses her magical powers in the process, she is spared Kafka's demise due to her being half-human.
- Although she does kill fifty or more of Kefka’s soldiers prior to her abandoning the Getashi Empire, this does not prove to be too corrupting as she was forced to kill them against her will by Kefka, thus not diluting her moral capability. Likewise, she later regretted her past atrocities and made amends for them by trying to prevent the Empire from killing anymore innocents.
- Despite having magical capabilities, Celes possesses enough of her own for the sake of fairness, allowing her to stand out even compared to her.
