The Titan is the overarching protagonist of Disney Channel's fantasy animated series The Owl House.
He is a colossal, humanoid being whose corpse forms the Boiling Isles, with his power being the reason why magic exists on the isles. He is the father of King Clawthorne and the person who put the Collector inside his prison thousands of years ago out of the misguided belief that the latter was responsible for the Titan genocide. Despite his physical death, his spirit still lingers in the In-Between Realm and watches everything unfold on the Isles. He later lends Luz Noceda his powers to defeat Emperor Belos, who is possessing his heart in a last ditch attempt to destroy all life on the Isles.
He was voiced by Arin Hanson.
What Makes Him Pure Good?[]
- While he did imprison the Collector for millennia, this was because he mistakenly thought he was behind the genocide of the other Titans and wanted to protect his son King from him, not to mention he regretted doing it after learning he was innocent.
- He kept King safe by providing him with a golem protector.
- Upon his physical death, he provided glyph magic as a gift to the fauna that inhabited his remains, now named the Boiling Isles.
- He held an immense amount of respect towards Luz Noceda for the kind girl that she is and for watching over King like an older sister. He was also very appreciative of Eda Clawthorne for adopting him.
- He helped Luz learn glyph magic through ethereal messages.
- Based on Belos' line, it's also implied that he tried to impede Belos' attempts to progress his own knowledge of glyph magic, knowing well what harm he'd inevitably cause.
- He helped Luz wake up from the Collector's nightmare.
- He rescued Luz's spirit from drowning in the In-Between Realm's waters and therefore permanently dying.
- When Luz contemplated if she was just as bad as Belos, he assured her that wasn't the case by saying her feelings come from a genuine place, whereas Belos doesn't care about anything but his need to be the hero in his own delusion and damning others that are not him.
- When Belos deteriorated his spirit, he offered Luz the last remnants of his life as a power boost so she could defeat him and save the Boiling Isles from destruction, which she gladly accepted and succeeded at doing.
- He gave King a goodbye message before sending Luz back to the Demon Realm to fight Belos.
