Tohru is a major antagonist turned major protagonist in the animated series, Jackie Chan Adventures.
What Makes Him Pure Good?[]
- Initially a lieutenant for the Dark Hand, Tohru joins the side of the Chans at the end of season 1 and immediately works to atone for his past crimes, completely shedding his corrupting qualities in the process.
- He pretended to join a group of criminals so he could sabotage their plan from the inside.
- Whenever he is tasked with protecting Jade, he often makes that top priority.
- He played a major role in the battle against Tarakudo as the Oni were of Japanese magic which only he had any knowledge of among the heroes.
- He develops the spells needed to remove the Oni masks from the wearers.
- He is willing to give the Enforcers a chance at redemption, although he does admit to it being awkward when they remind him of initially being one of them.
- When the Oni generals are revived and the heroes are locked in a prison, Tohru discovers one more mask in a world beyond their reach that was made for Tarakudo. In order to get it, Tohru brandishes the mark of Tarakudo onto himself while understanding the risks of doing so.
- He crawled through a laundry chute that he was over three times the size of to save some kids.
- In the future, Tohru takes on an apprentice of his own to continue Uncle's teachings.
- He sacrificed himself to save Jade from a collapsing Section 13, surviving by sheer luck and being found by Uncle and the Enforcers.
- He develops and performs a spell to banish Drago and Shendu once and for all.
