Twilight Sparkle is the main protagonist of the fourth generation of My Little Pony franchise, and the overarching protagonist of the fifth generation.
She was voiced by Tara Strong, who also voiced Batgirl in the DC Animated Universe, Melody in The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea, and Talwyn Apogee in Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction and Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty while her singing voice is done by Rebecca Shoichet.
She and her friends protect Equestria from any evil threat multiple times.
Helps redeeming several antagonists including villains throughout the series, such as Nightmare Moon, Trixie Lulamoon, Sunset Shimmer, Starlight Glimmer, Tempest Shadow and the Pony of Shadows. Even when she doesn't trust some of them like Discord and Trixie at times, she could still try her best to do so.
Cared about all of her old and new friends, including Spike, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and Rarity.
She started off with many corrupting factors throughout the series, such as having moments of being arrogant, jerkish, dismissive, controlling, stubborn, reckless, irresponsible, wrathful, etc. Despite this, she became remorseful over this and manage to learn from her mistakes. By the end of the series, she managed to subvert all of her corrupting factors, especially since she has matured and grown as an individual by the finale.
Season 1[]
During her debut, she was initially a loner and anti-social who wanted to study rather than making friends. After defeating Nightmare Moon, she opens up and became friendly after understanding the meaning of friendship.
She and her friends defeated Nightmare Moon with the Elements of Harmony. This would even lead Princess Celestia and Luna reconciling with each other.
Throughout her journey at the Everfree Forest with her friends, she finally understood the meaning of friendship.

Decided to stay in Ponyville in order to stay with her friends and learn more about friendship.

Though she was ignored by Celestia when trying to talk to her while the princess is too busy interacting with Gala guests, she only showed her sadness and loneliness instead of showing her anger and envy, feeling okay that she didn't get to hang out with her.
Season 2[]
She and her friends will do anything to stop Discord from spreading chaos around Ponyville, even if it means finding the Elements of Harmony against him.
Though she was about to give up after failed to defeat Discord, she later regains back her confidence after realizing the importance of friendship and reading the previous friendship lessons she has sent to Celestia, using the memory spell to release her friends from Discord's influence.
She and her friends are standing up to Discord before using the Elements of Harmony against him by turning him back into a stone.
Though she casting a spell on everypony to make them fought over her old toy, this is because she has temporarily gone crazy after not being able to find the friendship problems by herself. However, she later began to regain her senses after Princess Celestia undo her mistakes and apologize to her for causing chaos in Ponyville.
Showing disappointment at Rainbow Dash for using Nightmare Night as an excuse to prank somepony else.
She is the only one who isn't scared of Princess Luna due to remembering how she turned back to normal after she and her friends defeated Nightmare Moon.
Seeing how lonely Princess Luna because everypony is scared of her, she tried to help her befriends with everypony but to no avail. However, they later discovered that being scared is the fun part during the Nightmare Night, so she's okay with it.

To prevent the Sweet Apple Acres from running out of business, she and her friends are joins Applejack in helping her and the Apple family in cider-making competition against Flim Flam Brothers, but only for the con brothers to win. However, the Flim Flam Brothers later left Ponyville because of the poor quality of their cider after they overdid the Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000 to cheat on the competition, thus preventing the Sweet Apple Acres from running out of business and the Apple family remains on Ponyville.
While Rainbow Dash was in the hospital, she convinced Rainbow Dash to try reading Daring Do and the Quest for the Sapphire Stone book, hoping that she'll like it since Daring's just like her. However, it later went goes so well as Rainbow starts loving and enjoying the Daring Do book series until she later admits herself of it.
She and Fluttershy went to visit Rainbow Dash at the hospital by playing a board game with her.
After discovering that Rainbow really does love reading Daring Do book series, she advised by telling her that reading is something everypony can enjoy and convinced her to just try, which Rainbow learns the lesson.
Allowed the Cutie Mark Crusaders to borrow the book about Hearts and Hooves Day, but only for them to use it to make a love potion for Big Mac and Miss Cheerilee.
Despite knowing how much she wants to be his friend, she convinced Pinkie to accept the fact that Cranky wants to be left alone.
Believing that the disaster will coming towards Equestria, she lead her friends and everypony in Ponyville to "disaster-proof" Equestria.

Helping Pinkie solve the mystery of who has eaten the Marzipan Mascarpone Meringue Madness, which was none other than Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy and Rarity. This would even inspire Pinkie into learning her lesson and managed to follow the same thing as Twilight when discovering that the bakers' were the ones to ate their respective baked goods as well.
Though she was initially mad at Shining Armor for not directly telling her about his wedding since they're used to be close since their childhood, she later gets over with it after hearing that he was married with Princess Cadance. However, by the end of the season finale, she finally accepts that Shining Armor is moved on without him ever since he and Cadance were married.
By examining the strange and demanding behavior of "Princess Cadance", she tried to tell her brother and her friends that "Cadance" is not whom they think she is and tried to reveal her true nature to them. Though initially backfired, it eventually succeeds after she brought the real Cadance to the wedding, thus revealing the imposter's identity was actually Queen Chrysalis.
While she was imprisoned at the underground cavern by Chrysalis, she rescued Princess Cadance from being imprisoned here and escort her back to the wedding.
Though she initially attacked Princess Cadance due to believing she's Chrysalis in disguise, she later stops after Cadance singing the Sunshine Sunshine Ladybugs Awake for her to prove that she's indeed real.
After Chrysalis revealing her true disguise in front of others, she and her friends went to retrieve the Elements of Harmony to defeat her and the Changelings, but only to be stopped and attacked by the swarm of Changelings.
When Applejack apologizes to her and on her friends' behalf for not believing her true suspicions against Chrysalis, she calmly forgives them by saying that Chrysalis has been fooling them the whole time.
Freeing Princess Cadance from getting trapped in a green sticky substance to help her freeing Shining Armor from Chrysalis' brainwashing, allowing them to defeat Chrysalis and the Changelings with the power of love.
During the real wedding, she fixed Shining Armor's crest before he and Cadance were married.
Before Shining Armor and Princess Cadance get inside the wedding wagon, she hugged her older brother before parting ways with him.
Season 3[]
She and her friends would do anything to protect the Crystal Empire from King Sombra.
She and her friends set up a Crystal Faire in order to keep the Crystal Ponies happy.
She and Spike went to retrieve the Crystal Heart from at the top of the Crystal Castle tower to deliver it to the Crystal Faire and save the Crystal Empire. When she was trapped in the black crystals, she entrusts Spike to deliver the Crystal Heart to the Crystal Faire, which ultimately succeeds in saving the Crystal Empire from King Sombra and later made her pass the test.
Not only that, this also made Spike became famous and well-known throughout the Crystal Empire for his heroic actions, which he was given a title "Great and Honorable Spike the Brave and Glorious".
Obliterating Pinkie's clones in order to stop their rampage around Ponyville and find which one's the real Pinkie.
When Trixie torturing and hurting her friends to challenged her into a magic duel, she tried to convinced her to stop but only for her to reluctantly accepts for the sake of her friends' well-being.
During her magic duel with Trixie, she saved Shoeshine from getting crushed by a wagon with apples on barrells as Trixie thrown it away.
With the help of her friends and Zecora and their teamwork, she managed to save Ponyville from being conquered by Trixie by defeating her in a second magic duel, which she managed to make Trixie into let go of her Alicorn Amulet to put it back where it belongs.
Despite everything she has done to her and her friends, she forgive Trixie after she provided a fireworks for her magic performance, but not before Trixie goes back with her usual personality.
To comfort Pinkie from spending time checking on her mailbox, she and her friends help Pinkie sending a package to Rainbow Dash at the Wonderbolt Academy.
Comforted Rainbow Dash when she was about to give up being a Wonderbolt over Spitfire's decision of appointed Lightning Dust a leadpony.
Realized that Spike wants to serve Applejack for the rest of his life, she and her friends decide to stage a Timberwolf attack on Applejack to stop Spike from trying to continue his Noble Dragon Code and continue to think he owns it.
Though she really did got her friends' cutie marks switched which indirectly ruined their lives, it was unintentional as she was reading Star Swirl's unfinished spell where she was supposed to finish it before. When she later discovers about what happened, she became felt remorseful and blamed herself of this.
Used the Elements of Harmony to help her friends find their true selves and restore their memories back to normal, which later succeeds in switching their cutie marks back to normal.
Managed to finish Star Swirl's unfinished spell, which led her transforming herself into an Alicorn and became the Princess of Friendship.
During her coronation speech, she explained to everypony about how her arrival in Ponyville has changed her life when she met her newfound friends and starts to believe in friendship.

Attempted to stop Sunset Shimmer from stealing the Elements of Harmony crown from her and gets away with it, but to no avail as she jumped into the Crystal Mirror where the crown ends up in the Human World.
Went to the Human World in order to get the Elements of Harmony crown back from Sunset Shimmer.

Though she did get angry and vent out her frustration at Spike, this is justified because she has been tired and exhausted from doing all the work cleaning up Ponyville from Rarity's mess while she was under the Inspiration Manifestation spell and it was all Spike's fault for letting this happen by giving the spell book to her.
Used her magic to light the torch for Spike, covering for him just to prevent him from embarassing himself. When he thinks he can light up a fire with his mind, she decide to tell him the truth about what happened.

When the duke and duchess of Maretonia visit the Crystal Empire, she welcomes them by unveil the Maretonia royal banner and bowing at them when they're inside the castle.
Revealing to her friends that their gifts are connected by their difficult choices and decisions from the past, which led to these objects turned into the keys that will open the Chest of Harmony.
Accepting the princesses' request of keeping their magic safe from Tirek and kept it as a secret to protect her friends. However, she needs to learn how to control their magic in order to prevent herself from exposing it.
Before she went to the Castle of the Two Sisters by herself, she orders her friends to tell everypony in Ponyville to stay indoors during Tirek's rampage around Equestria.
Saving Owlowiscious from getting killed when Tirek firing his beam at the Golden Oak Library and destroying it.

After defeating Tirek, she and her friends also used their Rainbow Power to brought back all the magic to the entire Equestria, allowing the unicorns to get their magic back, the Pegasi can fly again and returning the rest of the cutie marks back to everypony. Because of this, the princesses also getting freed from being imprisoned at Tartarus.
Due to unlocking the Chest of Harmony, she and her friends became responsible for the creation of the Castle of Friendship, which belonged to Twilight herself.
Even after everything Discord had done when he's working with Tirek, she still allowed him to join in the group hug with her and her friends.
Season 5[]
Helping Our Town residents get their cutie marks back and defeat Starlight Glimmer.
Helping her friends with their activities such as cleaning up the animals for Fluttershy, making pancakes with Pinkie Pie, digging more tree holes for Applejack and organize a single gem drawer for Rarity, all in order to avoid making the Castle of Friendship like her home.
Admitted that she missed her old home Golden Oak Library.
Moved by the memories of the library from the chandelier out of her old home's roots, she is ready to accept the Castle of Friendship to be her new home.
Tried to convinced Rainbow not to taking her anger out on her and her friends over Tank's hibernation.

No matter how hostile and aggressive these yaks are, she and her friends would do anything to try to make Equestria feel like Yakyakistan in order to form a friendship between ponies and yaks, especially towards Prince Rutherford.
She and her friends comforted Pinkie from thinking that she failed as a party planner after she returned from her journey to Yakyakistan.

Despite this, Twilight felt remorseful of doing such things and apologized to Starlight for not listening to her before.

Despite how prideful and dismissive towards her for accidentally releasing the Pony of Shadows from the limbo, she managed to change Star Swirl the Bearded's view and perspective of the magic of friendship, leading him to reform his old ways.
Worked on a magic spell to send the Pony of Shadows back to the limbo without sending the Pillars back there and even if it means sacrificing the Elements of Harmony as well.
She, her fellow Mane Six, the Pillars and the others are defeating the Pony of Shadows by releasing the darkness form from Stygian and sending it back to the limbo.
They also save Stygian from the Pony of Shadows and being trapped in a limbo along with his darkness form as well. When she confronted Stygian and discovering his true intentions and reasons why he went against the Pillars, Twilight convinced him to let go of his desire of vengeance against the Pillars and make amends with them, with Starlight backing her up to help her. Touched by their words, Stygian agreed to abandon his vengeance and darkness inside of him and forgive the Pillars for their betrayal and banishment, which they successfully reconciled and reunite together.

She also regretfully admitted that she should've just told her the truth instead of lying and keeping it a secret. With the Elements of Harmony, she and her friends saved the Crystal Empire from King Sombra by seemingly vaporizing him into smoke.
When King Sombra managed to conqured Ponyville and brainwashed everyone here, she tried to snap Apple Bloom, Spike and Starlight Glimmer from Sombra's brainwashing, but to no avail.
Since the Everfree Forest is going out of control without the Tree of Harmony, she and her friends attempt to fight and hold off the uncontrollable vines but only for them to growing faster than ever. After Princess Celestia, Princess Luna and Star Swirl the Bearded are arrived to hold them all off in their place, she immediately apologized to Star Swirl for letting this happen.
She and her friends cannot bring themselves to fight all of their friends in Equestria when they're arrived at the Canterlot Castle to fight King Sombra and save Equestria.

Originally, she wasn't considered Pure Good due to it being assumed she had too many corrupting factors and wasn't consistent enough with her goodness to pass the admirable standards. However, she was later approved as Near Pure Good due to her actions being evaluated as admirable enough and her preventions being determined to not be too severe. She was then re-evaluated and approved as Pure Good since pretty much all of her corrupting factors are subverted at the end of the series, especially since she matured and grew up in the future and her appearances in the fifth generation of the My Little Pony franchise.
