Ultraman Mebius (ウルトラマンメビウス Urutoraman Mebiusu) is the titular main protagonist of the same title, the 20th installment of the Ultraman franchise.
Mebius is a loyal, selfless, kind, friendly, and well-learning young ultraman who was chosen as the new protector of the Earth and was the tenth Ultra from the Land of Light. He currently resides on the Land of Light, assisting the Ultra Brothers. He was the student of Ultraman Taro, a member of Team Crew GUYS, and the archenemy of Alien Empera, the franchise's overarching antagonist.
He was portrayed by Shunji Igarashi for his human form, Mirai Hibino. While his suit actors are Sanshiro Wada, Kei Iwata Sakae, Satoshi Yamamoto, and Hideyoshi Iwata (the suit actor for Mebius' Burning Brave and Phoenix Brave formes).
What Makes Him Pure Good?[]
- He protected Earth from the next wave of Kaijus and Seijins sent by Empera. Even though he killed them through his abilities, it was wasn't by lethal instincts. It was necessary to prevent any more harm caused for the greater good, so far all Ultramen from his previous and current generations did the same.
- However, there are times some Kaiju or Seijin are spared, Zamsher and Alien Mates "Bios" were those examples.
- Even though he failed to save Hiroto Ban, he took in his human form as a way to honor him. Though it took time for Hiroto's father to accept it.
- He defeated Bogal alongside Hunter Knight Tsurugi (before becoming Hikari) when the threat later become a sentient doomsday weapon.
- Defeated Yapool with the help of the Ultra Brothers during his time fighting against Temperor, Zarab, Guts, and Nackle.
- Defeated all Four of the Heavenly Kings (most importantly Yapool), when they attempted to cause havoc around Japan or harm others he protected.
- Even though some humans (Hirukawa for example) can be at their worst in cruelty. He never felt any anger or hate for anyone unless it was necessary if they have done something wrong and called them out. He never had anything to hate humans and he didn't care how cruel some can be.
- Despite being beaten up by Hirukawa, he never intended to beat him up in return.
- He, alongside Hikari and Zoffy, managed to finally defeat the Empera once and for all, ending his tyranny and conquest for good.
- Helped his brothers to defeat the Black Silhouette that caused the events around 8 Superior Ultra Brothers.
- Defeated Armored Darkness when it once took possession of Hikari.
- When Taro and Ace were in trouble, he was forced to follow the revived Four Heavenly Kings' demands of gaining the Battlenizer to revive Alien Empera.
- He later saves Mechazam from the Battlenizer's corruption of him, not caring care if he was the vessel of Empera and mercy-killed him when the corruption was too unstable as his final wish to prevent the Empera's revival.
- Brought Rei to the Land of Light to find a way to defeat Belial when he froze it and the population of every Ultraman and Ultrawoman.
- He defeated several Kaiju and Seijin from Belial's 100 army and assisted in his defeat when he emerges as Belyudra.
- Assisted and helped Ginga and Victory in defeating Etelgar for good.
- Despite having a few moments where he had potential corrupting factors, none of them are genuinely real as:
- During the time Yapool tormented him under his illusions, he was scaring a group of high school girls and then made a child cry. He didn't mean to do so since Yapool was taunting him through them and Mebius (as Mirai) only acted under pressure, later feeling remorse for it.
- When Hirukawa was taking advantage of Konomi alongside her childhood friend for a scandal, he only calls them out for his actions as well as the latter's friend. This was only out of how they would use Konomi for such a thing and he made a point about it, even though what Hirukawa did to him is utterly awful, he holds no grudge against him as Ace, one of his brothers, reminded him that no matter how bad humans can be and there is still some form of good there.
- Overall, whatever seems to be corruptive in those mitigations has subverted.
- He stands out as one of the most admirable Ultramen out of his predecessors for bravely giving his all and defeating the Empera, who was the force behind the countless Kaiju and Seijin attacks in the past.
