OK, so this is my third Pure Good proposal. Let's get started.
What's the work?
A light in the darkness is a fanfiction on the website Wattpad. In it, 5 months had gone by since Carrie White went into Florida. People found out that she was still living, but had been exonerated on mass murder charges, as her mother's abuse contributed to it. Having settled into her own apartment, she is content. But when she hears about a sinister plot, she asks herself something. Could it be someone else with the same telekinetic abilities as her, or has her longtime arch-enemy survived?
Who is he?
William "Billy" Nolan, now known as Billy Nolan Sr, is a major antagonist in the 2002 TV film Carrie and the deuteragonist in the Wattpad fanfiction A light in the darkness.
He once took part in the plan to humiliate Carrie (who would later become his wife), but abandoned that after some time in the hospital. He is the father of Billy Nolan Jr and Sasha Rita Nolan.
What makes him Pure Good?
- Shortly after the events of the TV film, Billy shed all of his corrupting factors, and felt remorse for his past misdeeds.
- Decided to help Carrie to make up for his role in the pig blood prank.
- Shut down Chris's portal machine, ensuring his role in the safety of the multiverse.
- Even though he killed Chris Hargensen, he only did so to protect Carrie from the PTSD flashbacks she would have from her first period.
- It is implied that Billy comforted Carrie at Norma Watson's funeral.
- He genuinely loves both of his children, as shown when he sews a picture that said he's a parent with an autistic child after his son Billy Nolan Jr was diagnosed with autism, and even had a movie night with his daughter, Sasha.
Admirable standard?
Despite the fact that Carrie did save the multiverse, Billy Sr easily passes by way of his role in saving the multiverse, resulting in billions of lives being saved, as well as getting rid of each and every one of his corrupting factors.
Final verdict?
Yes, I do believe that he qualifies. But I'd like to hear what you think.
