Valiant is the main protagonist of the 2005 Disney film of the same name. He is a little wood pidgeon who wanted to be a recruit despite his size.
He is voiced by Ewan McGregor who played Rodney Copperbottom from Robots.
What Makes Him Pure Good?[]
- He wanted to become a recruit despite his small size.
- He cared a lot about his friends.
- He convinced his mother to let him go so he could prove he's grown up.
- Despite just getting to know Bugsy (and despite having been a coward at first), Valiant acted friendly towards him.
- As soon as he tried to flee out of fear, Valient revealed that he was scared too (because this mission was dangerous), but preferred to stay (although this didn't stop Bugsy from leaving, he changed his mind and decided to go back).
- During training, he met and fell in love with Nurse Victoria, although that wasn't why he wanted to be a recruit.
- He wanted to help Gutsy, but he forced Valient off the plane without him.
- Unlike the other recruits who madly panicked after Gutsy's presumed death, Valient didn't freak out and calm the others down.
- Although he failed to enter the hawks' lair and began to think about giving up, it is only because he believed that he had failed, when in fact he didn't.
- He tried to save Bugsy while he was being kidnapped.
- Upon discovering that there is only one entrance (which is small), he decided to enter.
- He wanted to not only retrieve the message, but also save Bugsy and Mercury and put his life on the line for them. Although Bugsy told him to abandon them rather than risk it, he didn't.
- While fleeing General Von Talon, he managed to defeat him, using a trap against him.
- He brought the message to Sergeant Monty for him to give to the military and give them an idea to stop Hitler.
- This made him the only one to receive a gold medal and indicated that he was more important than other recruits.
