What Makes Him Pure Good?[]
- Although Victor has never seen Victoria Everglot in person, he agrees to the wedding.
- Upon seeing Victoria, he falls in love with her and is polite to her, showing his good upbringing.
- He feels remorse for accidentally setting fire on Victoria's mother.
- While he did bring Emily back to life, it happened completely accidentally.
- He doesn't tell Emily about Victoria only because he doesn't think this information to be important to Emily.
- He decides to commit suicide to marry Emily to put an end to the suffering of an already dead person.
- When he knows that Victoria is in danger because of Barkis, he does his best to defeat him.
- Victor's actions lead to Emily finally being freed from her failed vow.
