Yoshi is the tritagonist of the 2006 flash animation series Super Mario Bros. Z.
He is a Yoshi who is close friends with Mario and Luigi, joining the heroes in their hunt for the Chaos Emeralds at Mario's request.
Much like his original counterpart, his voice clips are provided by Kazumi Totaka.
What Makes Him Pure Good?[]
- He acts as a brave and powerful sidekick for Mario and Luigi, assisting them to defeat their enemies.
- Sincerely accepts Mario's ask for assistance to find Chaos Emeralds.
- Carries Luigi when he is terrified by a giant Piranha Plant and runs away in fright and lands right next to Yoshi.
- Finds the Red Chaos Emerald, the first emerald the team found in Mushroom Kingdom.
- Bravely opposes Turbo Mecha Sonic and fights him to protect the Chaos Emerald, despite being way less powerful than the robot. The fight concluded with Yoshi getting vital damages and a near-death experience.
- Personally saves Mario from getting speared by Thunderfoot, the gigantic Yoshi. He later saves the whole team by talking to the Yoshi Chief, informing him about his team and the Chaos Emerald incident.
- Alongside his teammates, he frees Yoshis enslaved by Axem Rangers used for digging up the island for emeralds.
- Alongside his teammates, he fights Axem Rangers X and Koopa Bros to recover the stolen Emeralds and protect his teammates.
- Rescues Luigi from Axem Pink during the fight.
- Rescues Sonic when he was about to fall off after the Breaker Beam attack of Red, which destroyed the mountains.
- Bravely assists Mario, Sonic and Shadow during the fight with Semi-Super Mecha Sonic.
- Carries a clumsy Luigi while entering the Pipe Maze.
- Follows Shadow by Sonic's request to see if he does something wrong.
- Waves Wario -who scares Luigi with a Petey Piranha costume- off with a Petey Piranha costume.
- Despite Shadow's agressive threats, Yoshi bravely opposes and warns him to not stay alone and work with the team instead.
- Despite the risk of being stuck there forever, he bravely enters the pipe to go to the Minus World to save Mario and Sonic, and grunts when Luigi cowardly runs away.
- Assists Mario, Sonic and Shadow during the fight with Mecha Sonic in the Minus World.
- Carries Mario and Goombella during the escape of Minus World.
- Eats Mecha Sonic's rocket and spits at him back, both saving his teammates and slowing the robot during the Minus World escape. Considering the circumstances of the escaping situation as they had only several seconds to enter the pipe before the world's curse comes back, this is a unique action as it would only be backfired with Yoshi's abilities, and had Yoshi not been there, most likely the entire team will die in the Minus World, or stuck there forever.
- Helps Luigi and Kolorado when getting underwater to enter the escape pipe.
- Comes to Princess Peach's rescue when Bowser kidnapped him to bait Mario for taking Chaos Emeralds for himself.
- Participates to the fight with Koopatrol Army, acting as an efficient sidekick to Mario's team.
- While his teammates have some more admirable actions, Yoshi still manages to pass the admirable standards and stand out for having way lower resources than them. Despite this case, he uses his best effort on the way of defeating Mecha Sonic and Bowser, especially towards the former one as he single-handedly fought him despite getting mortal wounds due to being way less powerful than him, and saving his teammates' lives from the robot's rocket during the Minus World escape, which is a unique action considering the circumstances of situation. Not to mention that he has zero corrupting or preventing factor, unlike Shadow who is too wrathful, and Luigi who is too cowardly.
Trivia[]
- For a brief time, he was considered as Near Pure Good because it was believed that he failed the admirable standards, however when it was declared that he passed the standards, he was approved as Pure Good.
- He's the only version of Yoshi to be Pure Good. Ironically, his canon version was once approved here, but later got demoted to Heroic Benchmark.
